Charles “Chuck” Wilson

Chuck passed away peacefully at 100 years old. He was a member at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a charter member of the local Knights of Columbus.

Chuck was born in Asotin, Wash., to Colin and Margaret Wilson on the family farm. While working on the family farm from a young age, he attended Genesse, Idaho schools, graduating from Genesse High School.

He met the love of his life Ann in Cewwlah, Wash., and they were married Feb.10, 1946, in Spokane, Wash., a marriage that lasted 77 years until his passing.

He was employed by Safeway Stores as a meat cutter working in Lewiston, Idaho, Ritzville, Moses Lake and Ephrata, Wash., until his retirement.

Following his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking in his shop, fishing, watching birds in the backyard and especially spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed travelling with his wife on several cruises, trips to numerous states and countries in Europe.

Chuck is survived by his wife Ann and four sons, David (Delores), Troutdale, Ore., Michael (Janice), Renton, Wash., Brian (Tami), Lynn (Glory), Moses Lake. Grandchildren Lisa, Webb, Kristen Schults, Cameron Wilson, Colin, Wilson, Courtney Balderas and Brady Wilson. He also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Colin and Margaret Wilson and younger brother Tom.

A Rosary will be held Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. with a Liturgy of the Word to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 200 N. Dale Rd., Moses Lake. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at Fatima Center located next to the church immediately following the service.
