Lodge Tax Advisory Committee grant applications due soon
GRANT COUNTY – The Grant County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee announced in a Tuesday press release the final date for grant applicants for qualifying tourism promotion for 2024 campaigns is nearing.
According to the release the deadline is Sept. 22 at 5 p.m.
According to Grant County’s website, grants are available for events such as fairs, rodeos, concerts and attractions, for year-round promotion and for capital improvements.
The website stated that Grant County Lodging Tax Fund is the primary source of county funding for activities, operations and expenditures designed to increase tourism. The LTAC advises the Grant County Board of County Commissioners on the appropriation of the annual investment of lodging tax revenues received. These funds are generated by overnight stays within unincorporated Grant County, said the website.
According to the website, the LTAC Grant Presentation Meeting will be Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. The presentation meeting will allow grant applicants a few minutes to answer any questions from the LTAC committee.
