Notice of Public Hearing Othello City Council  Sand Hill Estates Comprehensive Plan Amendment & Rezone Notice is hereby given that the City of Othello will hold a public hearing to discuss amending the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Designation and rezoning 18 acres from Open Space Urban Reserve to R-4 Residential, north of Cascade St. from 7th to 14th Ave. The property is described as portions of Tax #2660 & 2661, Parcel #1529030682660 & -2661. The hearing will be held at the City Council meeting, Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 at 6:00 PM, at Othello City Hall, 500 E. Main St. The hearing will also be accessible by internet and phone. THE CITY OF OTHELLO IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 TOURISM PROMOTION PROJECTS IN THE CITY Each year the City receives funds from lodging room tax imposed upon the hotels/motels within the City. These funds can be expended as established by State law (RCW 67.28.1815). To be considered for funding, your organization must meet one of the following criteria: • Tourism marketing • Marketing and operations of special events and festivals • Operations of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by nonprofit organizations The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will review each proposed application and the organization will be contacted if their application meets the qualifications.
