Pauline Lepsche
Pauline Sarah Lepsche went to be with her Lord and Savior and the rest of her family Aug. 21, 2023, in Moses Lake with family at her side.
Pauline was born to Mary (Liese) and George Brown on May 15, 1935, the second of four children. She went to grade school in Colorado and graduated from High School in Newport, Wash. She furthered her education later in life graduating with an associate’s degree from Big Bend Community College.
Following high school, Pauline moved to Spokane and went to work for the telephone company. There she met and fell in love with Harold Lepsche, who was in the Air Force at the time. They were married Oct. 23, 1954, in Spokane. They made their home in Spokane Valley where Harold worked for Kaiser Aluminum. They moved to Moses Lake when Harold got a job with the U.S. Post Office and Pauline became a full-time, dedicated homemaker. She said moving there was like moving to paradise.
Pauline loved music and took piano lessons well into adulthood and sang in the church choir. She was on the board and treasurer for the local Community Concert Association. She also taught piano lessons for many years to many children. She and Harold were very active in the Nazarene Church in Moses Lake. Over the years she taught Sunday school classes aged from children to senior adults. She was president of their young people’s association, missionary president, and served as church treasurer.
In succeeding years, they attended the Free Methodist church and she was currently attending a non-denominational church.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and dear sister Doris, whom she missed very much. We feel they all must be having quite a celebration up in heaven. She is survived by her sister Georgia Krosch and brother Roy (Vicki) Brown, and brother-in-law Don Bonertz. Nieces, Teri (Ron) Laney, Nancy Fenton, Mary (Ron) Sivey, Carolyn (Dave) Holdner, Jennifer Dettore and Theresa (Mitch) Mclellan. Nephews John (Sue) Finch, Dave Finch, Steve (Shelly) Brown, Roger (Aimee) Brown, Mike (Christi) Bonertz) and dozens of grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 1 p.m. at Spring Canyon Cemetery, Grand Coulee, Wash. A celebration of life will be held at a later date next summer.
