GRANT COUNTY — The Veterinary Board of Governors charged registered veterinary medication clerk Chase Kirk Sidwell with unprofessional conduct in June 2023, according to a news release from the Washington State Department of Health.

The board’s charges state that Sidwell labeled, packaged and delivered drugs to customers only a licensed veterinarian is allowed to use, said the release. Sidwell allegedly labeled the drug deliveries with the name of a veterinarian who no longer supervises him, and he does not currently have a required sponsor veterinarian.

According to the release, health care providers charged with unprofessional conduct have 20 days to respond to the DoH in writing. The case then enters the settlement process. If no disciplinary agreement can be reached, the case will go to a hearing.

The DoH Health Systems Quality Assurance Division works with boards, commissions and advisory committees to set licensing standards for more than 80 health care professions such as dentists, nurses, counselors and so on.

Information about disciplinary action taken against medical doctors and physician assistants can be found on the Washington Medical Commission website at wmc.wa.gov.
