Evelyn Mae Pruett

Evelyn Mae Pruett, 96, went on to be with The Lord on Oct. 20, 2023, at the age of 96 at her home in Moses Lake, Wash. 

Evelyn was born in Hutchinson, Kansas to Roy Cecil Downing and Christina Matilda Dewald, who both predeceased her. Her two brothers Glen and Earl also predeceased her. 

Evelyn spent a full life of 52 years with her wonderful husband, Harry A. Pruett who went on to be with The Lord in 2017. She is survived by five of the six beautiful children they raised together and by numerous beloved grandchildren, amazing great-grandchildren, precious great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Evelyn worked as a nurse’s-aid in her earlier years. She was a great homemaker who loved cleanliness, organization, cooking, baking and gardening. Evelyn was also an avid reader of the Bible, devotions, and many books. She loved poetry and reciting poems. Her pleasant personality and good sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to her dear friend, Dorene Bendickson, for her many years of friendship, love, kindness and helpfulness. The family would also like to thank all the personnel at Avamere Assisted Living Facility in Moses Lake as well as the Samaritan Hospital, Hospice and other health care professionals.
