USDA releases agricultural statistics for Northwest Region
Non-alfalfa hay production is expected to hit about 825,000 tons, a drop of 8% from last year, according to the USDA. Yield is expected to be about 2.5 tons per acre, down by 0.6 tons from last year.

OLYMPIA — The United States Department of Agriculture’s Northwest Regional Field Office released agricultural statistics for canola, corn for grain, dry edible beans, sugar beets, alfalfa hay and all other hay for Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Alaska on Thursday.
