Amber Brocklebank

| October 2, 2023 9:20 AM

With grace in her heart and flowers in her hair, Amber left her earthly body to dance with the wildflowers and be the ray of sunshine she was here on Earth.

Amber lived by the motto “Positive Vibes Only.” She never met a stranger as she had the unique ability to make others feel welcome. She was kind and compassionate, never letting anyone forget their value or their place in her life.

While she ran a marathon with her health starting at the age of 6, she never dwelled on her struggles. Amber was always reminding those around her that it could be worse anytime the subject was brought up. She set a great example of how to live life to the fullest and maintain a positive attitude in the midst of life’s trials.

Amber loved animals, her giant “Tree of Life” in her front yard, and art. She loved her pets, spoiling them with love and affection. Her love for children could not go unnoticed; you would often find her sitting at the kids’ table or setting up a game of hide-and-seek at any function. Amber loved Halloween, the kids dressed up and out and about collecting candy. Her giving nature was amplified by the adorable kids in their costumes. She was grateful for her beautiful lawn and a huge tree that provided an amazing centerpiece to her safe haven of home. Amber was passionate about all styles of art, always ready to discuss artists she loved and their amazing talent.

Amber leaves behind the love of her life, Rodney Fuchs. Rod and Amber enjoyed almost a dozen years together, always on the go enjoying and finding adventures wherever they went. Boating, camping, skiing, and all-around shenanigans were their favorite things to do. Amber encouraged friendly competitions between her and Rod, reminding him that sandboxing in the pool was not allowed. They spent a lot of time on the slopes together, skiing and snowboarding, as well as at the lake. She was there to cheer Rod on with his racing and lend a helping hand with the home improvement projects; even if they were mostly her idea. Words cannot describe how much they meant to each other.

Amber is survived by her mother, Kelly, her father, David, her brother and best friend, Brandon, and her nephew, Jaxon.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and cherished in their memories.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2023, at the MarDon Resort Beach House from 1 to 5 p.m., with more information to come.
