CITY OF MATTAWA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN; the City of Mattawa is hereby holding a public hearing: before the City of Mattawa Council during their regularly scheduled meeting on the 2023 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update AND proposed amendments to Mattawa’s Development Regulations as part of Mattawa’s Municipal Code AND to adopt the Grant County Critical Areas Ordinance by reference AND SEPA Determination of Non-Significance. The Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update will amend the 2006 Comprehensive Plan to bring the City into compliance with the Growth Management Act. The Development Regulation amendments also propose the consolidation of 15.08 Off-Street Parking and 17.46 Off-Street Parking into one cohesive chapter. The adoption of Grant County’s Critical Areas Ordinance by reference exempts the city from the need to adopt its own Critical Areas Ordinance per Senate Bill 5374.  Comprehensive Plan, Development Code, and Critical Areas Amendments are deliberated by the City Council at a public hearing, per MMC Chapters 17.68, 14.09 and 2.04. The City Council will approve, approve with conditions, or deny the proposed amendments.
