WILSON CREEK — The Wilson Creek Devils will be looking to improve off of last season’s 5-11 record when they tip off their 2023-24 season this winter, which opens with a  home game against Bridgeport on Dec. 7

Wilson Creek opened last season with a 1-4 record through its first five games, reaching 3-6 in mid-January after stringing together a 66-27 win over Cascade Christian and a 74-21 win over Thorp. However, the Devils lost four of their last six games to finish the regular season at 5-10; their two wins were against Thorp (66-24 on Jan. 27) and Cascade Christian (53-7 on Feb. 2).

The Devils were given the No. 7 seed in the Central Washington B district tournament, falling to No. 2 seed Riverside Christian 61-20 in the first round.

Last year's team had two seniors graduate — Hank Sutton and Ben Reitz — but the Devils had eight players on last year’s team who were either eighth graders or freshmen. Also on last year’s team was now-senior Zane McMillan, who received first-team all-league honors a year ago.
