Jose (Joe) Luis Nuno
Our charismatic and handsome brother, Jose (Joe) Luis Nuno, 67, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, in Seattle, Wash.
He was one of seven children raised in a loving home in Othello, Wash. Joe attended and graduated from Othello High School. He spent most of his adult life in Seattle. Joe was a talented, highly skilled carpenter. He possessed an artistic eye, patience, and creativity. He practiced the virtues of his trade in his work. Joe also had a passion for creating unique pictures. Painting was a hobby he enjoyed and appreciated.
He will be remembered as a kind and selfless man, a loving son, brother, and uncle who enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid snow and water skier and loved the outdoors, especially riding his motorcycle. But his favorite thing was "hanging out" with his family and friends. He was uniquely able to pick up spirits and make everyone laugh. Our brother, Joe, imbued a quiet strength; he rarely complained or was boastful or critical of others.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Otimia A. Guerra, his stepfather, Gilberto Guerra, and his younger brother, Rogelio (Roy) Nuno. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia and Armando Arevalo, brother Andres (Andy) A. Nuno, sister Anna T. Nuno, sister Ema M. and Colin Fong, sister Lisa Guerra and Chris Montoya, and 10 nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe, we love you more than words can express.
Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
