Law enforcement records for Nov. 17, 2023

First responders and other officials meet in Quincy Tuesday to discuss contingency plans in the event of a train collision resulting in a hazardous materials release. The exercise was hosted by the Grant County Local Emergency Planning Committee which is managed by Grant County Sheriff’s Emergency Management Division. Attendees included representatives from fire agencies, law enforcement, emergency medical services, the Multi-Agency Communications Center, the National Weather Service, local industries, public health, and hospitals, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Report of an iPad stolen in the 100 block of First Avenue Northwest.

Report of theft at a business in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way.

Report of beer stolen from a business in the 700 block of Basin Street Northwest.

Report of a package stolen in the 100 block of K Street Northeast.

Nov. 9

Report of an attempt to pass a counterfeit bill at a business in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Customer had obtained the bill from a business in Moses Lake.

Nov. 10

Report of a vehicle stolen from outside a residence on Basin Street Southwest.

Report of a three-vehicle collision in the 1100 block of Basin Street Southwest. Vehicle 1 left a parking lot, crossing all lanes of travel, and went northbound in the southbound lane of Basin Street. Vehicle 1 collided with vehicle 2, then accelerated away and struck vehicle 3. Driver of vehicle 1 tried to flee but the vehicle was disabled. She was arrested for DUI.

Report of cosmetics valued at approximately $90 stolen from a business in the 200 block of Basin Street Southwest.

Report of a vehicle prowl in the 200 block of Patrick Road. Items were stolen from the truck bed.

Amanda Nicole Burton, 34, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

Nov. 13

Jaime Calderon, 45, Ephrata, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

Jessica Hope Hagadorn, 34, Soap Lake, booked on a Grant County Superior Court warrant relating to second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

Nov. 14

Brittany Lee Jordan, 30, Ephrata, booked on second-degree burglary and possession of methamphetamine, as well as a Grant County District Court warrant relating to third-degree theft.

Tyler Michael Hayward, 25, Warden, booked on a Grant County District Court warrant relating to DUI, operating a vehicle without an interlock and second-degree driving with license suspended.
