Eight Basin tennis players move on to state

COLUMBIA BASIN – Eight Columbia Basin tennis players are heading to state tournaments across the state this weekend. See below for first-round matchups from each of the five tournaments.

4A - hosted at The Pacific Clinic and Kamiakin High School

Boys Singles

Moses Lake junior Marwan Warnick vs Skyview’s Aiden Bucerzan - Friday at 8:30 a.m.

2A - hosted at the Nordstrom Tennis Center at the University of Washington.

Boys Singles

Ephrata sophomore Josh Mullings vs North Kitsap’s Indigo Gallagher-Zapf - Friday, time TBD.

Girls Doubles

Ephrata junior Addison Mills and senior Kacie Shannon vs Bremerton’s Elena Andreu and Claire Warthen - Friday, time TBD.

Boys 1A/2B/1B - hosted at the Yakima Tennis Club

Boys Doubles

Quincy seniors Harrison Hyer and Isaac Dearie vs Bush’s Cal Jones and Bernie Rosen - Friday, time TBD.

Girls 1A - hosted at the Yakima Tennis Club

Royal sophomore Madisen Christensen and senior Campbelle Anderson vs Annie Wright’s Amelia Hermann-Scholbe and Alex Middleton - time TBD.
