MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake minister will be featured at the Moses Lake Museum & Art Center, according to an announcement from the museum.

Beginning May 26, Pastor Walter Klockers, of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moses Lake, will offer “Butterfly Landscapes,” a macro photography exhibit focusing on honeybees, ladybugs and, of course, butterflies, according to the announcement. The exhibit will run through July 7.

An opening reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. June 2, the announcement said. Light refreshments will be served. Klockers will also present a slideshow from 10 to 11 a.m. on June 3, and talk about his macro photography techniques and the stories behind some of the photos, the announcement said.

“This exhibit represents over a decade of dedication to this craft and reveals its evolution: with beginnings of ‘pictures of bugs’ to gradually blossom into the style of ‘small landscapes’ – where the subject provides a single element within a richer composition,” Klockers wrote in the announcement.

There is no charge for either event. The museum is located inside the Moses Lake Civic Center at 401 S. Balsam St. More information can be found at www.moseslakemuseum.com.

An earlier version of this story gave an incorrect date for the opening reception. It has been corrected above.
