Seattle Thunderbirds on to WHL finals
KENT – The Seattle Thunderbirds are on to the Western Hockey League finals after defeating the Kamloops Blazers 4-2 in the WHL’s Western Conference finals, facing off against the Winnipeg ICE in the WHL Championship Series.
The Thunderbirds swept through the first two series of the playoffs, defeating Kelowna and Saint George’s with 4-0 series scores in the first and second rounds, respectively. Winnipeg is coming off a 4-0 sweep of Saskatoon in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Winnipeg hosts the first two games of the Championship Series, then Seattle hosts two back-to-back games on May 16 and 17 at the Accesso ShoWare Center in Kent. Tickets are available at https://tickets.seattlethunderbirds.com/.
