Lind fire injures one
LIND — A Lind man was transported to East Adams Rural Healthcare and treated for smoke inhalation after a fire damaged a residence in Lind early last Wednesday morning.
Adams County Fire District 2 Chief Kevin Starring said the fire was reported about 5:30 a.m. Firefighters had been called to the house on previous occasions, he said.
The house was severely damaged, Starring said. The man was treated and released.
About a dozen firefighters responded and were on scene for most of the morning. The cause of the fire has not been determined, he said, and is still under investigation.
