QUINCY — Anglers of all ages are being invited to drop a line in Quincy Lake and Burke Lake Saturday and Sunday in pursuit of trout and prizes. The 14th Trout Fishing Derby begins Saturday morning.

Registration is $35 for adults 18 years of age and older; children are admitted free.

The derby is sponsored by the Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce, and chamber executive director Cari Mathews said the 2022 trout derby drew 165 participants.

Registration is available Friday at the Chamber office, 115 F St. SW; Quincy Hardware and Lumber, 23 E St. SE; Hooked on Toys, 1444 N. Wenatchee Ave. in Wenatchee and Sportsman’s Warehouse, 611 Valley Mall Parkway in East Wenatchee. Registration also will be open at 6 p.m. Friday and from 6 to 8 a.m. Saturday at the derby.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest fish and highest cumulative weight in both adult and children’s divisions, along with other prizes. Trophies will be awarded for first through third in the children’s division, and raffles are scheduled for children as well.

Anglers will be required to follow Washington Fish and Wildlife limits on the daily catch, which means a maximum of five per day, Mathews said. The Saturday catch must be weighed by 4 p.m.
