Washington fire report for June 21

MOSES LAKE — These are the wildfires that were burning in Washington as of Monday afternoon, according to the Environmental Protection Agency’s AirNow website:

• Oasis, about 27 miles east of Wallula Junction: 4,251 acres. Started on Monday at approximately 3:22 p.m. It is burning in grass and sage and is threatening agriculture, homes, and infrastructure. No evacuations are in effect at this time. The cause is currently under investigation.

• South Satus, about 14 miles southeast of Toppenish: 997 acres.

• Hansen Road, about one mile south of Benton City: 6,289 acres.

• Ruppert Road, about three miles north of Benton City: 155 acres.

• Hover Park, three miles southeast of Finley, 528 acres.

• Sutherland, about 10 miles west of Port Angeles: 108 acres.

Containment information was not immediately available for any of these blazes.

In addition, there was an unhealthy air warning in effect in the Lake Wenatchee area north of Leavenworth.
