Summer meals for kids offered in Mattawa
MATTAWA — Breakfast and lunch will be served free of charge to qualifying children over the summer through the Summer Food Service Program sponsored by the Wahluke School District.
The summer meals program begins today and runs Monday through Thursday through Aug. 18. Meals will be served at Saddle Mountain Elementary, 500 Riverview Drive. Breakfast is served from 8:45 to 9:30 p.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The summer food program is open to children 18 years of age and younger, or 21 years of age if disabled, according to a press release from the district. People who want more information can contact Amy Long at the district office, 509-932-4565, ext. 3230.
