John Foryan

John A Foryan; beloved brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on June 4, 2023.

John was born on August 15, 1942, to John P. and Cecilia Foryan in Spokane, Washington. John grew up on a small farm in Indian Prairie outside of Spokane. He moved to Moses Lake in 1961 before being drafted into the Army in 1964. He did his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri before being transferred to Germany where he served 2 years. He worked at the U&I Sugar Factory for several years before it closed. In 1972 he met Wanda Lear and they were married that same year. Together they raised 3 children. He also worked at Country Morning Farms for many years until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed sitting up at Bob’s Cafe having coffee with his buddies.

John is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Emil), and Pauline, brothers Paul, Steve (Natalia), Joe, and George, one daughter Teresa (Garrett), two sons, Scott (Martha) and Shane, one step-son Joe, one granddaughter, Tenecia (Tyler), four grandsons, Niko (Karla), Niccolas (Kyleigh), Brandon and Ryan, one great-granddaughter Mila, and four great-grandsons, Mickey, Manolo, Thiago, and Marxelo, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew James.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories. Rosary will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church followed by mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Pioneer Memorial Gardens.
