Ephrata company offers free roof for a veteran

EPHRATA — Heavenly Roofing in Ephrata is accepting nominations for a veteran who could use a new roof.
It’s a way for the business to give back to the community, Marketing Specialist Oscar Romero said.
“We've had people call in asking for for roof estimates,” Romero said. “And sometimes they don't have the insurance to pay for it, and sometimes they can't afford it.”
The business has great respect for those who have served the country in the military, Romero wrote in an email, and this is their way to show their gratitude.
Nominations can be submitted through Sept. 15, Romero said. They should include a photo of the vet, a photo of the current roof and a paragraph or two about the veteran’s service and why they think that veteran deserves a new roof.
“We're going to where the need is greatest,” Romero said.
