QUINCY — Howard VanBaugh, right, receives a certificate recognizing his 10 years with the city of Quincy from Mayor Paul Worley, left, at the Quincy City Council meeting Tuesday.

“We always appreciate it when these guys stick around,” Worley said. “We hope he sticks around for another 10 (years), anyway. Thanks, Howard.”

Council member Jeff Spence said VanBaugh also is a volunteer with Grant County Fire District 3, and said he appreciated VanBaugh’s commitment to the city and fire district.

“Howard, we’re lucky to have you,” Spence said.
