Despite game-highs of 22 points and ten rebounds from sophomore Ambra Hacker, Big Bend Community College Lady Vikings basketball dropped a 73-63 NWAC East road contest to Columbia Basin College on Wednesday (January 18).

The Lady Vikings would find themselves trailing by a single point (14-13) at the end of the first quarter but the game would ultimately be decided in the second quarter, as the home-standing Hawks were able to push their halftime lead to nine (38-29), taking control of the contest and eventually netting the win.

In addition to Hacker's double-double, freshman Dakota Killian (11) and sophomore Callie Tolman (10) placed in double figure scoring. For the Hawks, Lexie Heath notched 19 points in the win.

The Lady Vikings (9-9 overall, 3-3 NWAC East) will be back to the friendly confines of the Devries Activity Center on Saturday (January 21), as they play host to another NWAC East opponent in Wenatchee Valley College (6-10 overall, 3-2 NWAC East). Gametime is set for 2pm, with the men's game to follow. As always, keep up with the Lady Vikings on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as through the NWACSports Network's livestream video platform, where available.
