| January 13, 2023 1:14 PM

Georgine Burress was born May 17, 1941, in Fort Meade, South Dakota. She passed away on January 8, 2023, at home in Moses Lake, Washington from Parkinson’s.

Georgine spent 66 years with her husband Bob. They met in Gordon, Nebraska and moved to California where they raised 4 children; Randy, Catrina, Glenda and Monica. In 1978 they left the big city life to join Bob’s family in Washington. After farming for a few years in Grant County, the opportunity arose for them to manage a restaurant until they built their own, Bob’s Café at the Inn. They spent the next 40 years in the restaurant business.

Georgine held a special place in her heart for her siblings; Ardean Vernon, Retta Kayton and Roger Broer. She greatly treasured the fellowship of many dear friends of like precious faith in Jesus’ teachings and she spoke fondly of her TOPS pals. A special Thank You to Neurologist Dr. Salil Manek in Spokane for all the genuine care provided through the years.

A favorite bible passage of Georgine’s was Matthew 7:24-27. “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it”

A memorial service will be held at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories, Jan. 21, 2023, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
