EPHRATA — Grant County PUD commissioners Nelson Cox and Terry Pyle were sworn in for new terms during the regular commission meeting Jan. 10.

Cox and Pyle were reelected in November. Both ran unopposed.

Cox, a retired Warden farmer, holds one of two at-large seats on the board; he was elected for a second four-year term. The at-large position means the commissioner can live anywhere in the district.

Pyle, of Moses Lake, was appointed to the commission in 2021 and was running for his first full six-year term. He represents District 2, which includes a portion of Moses Lake. Pyle is a business and economics instructor at Big Bend Community College.

The commissioners were sworn in by Grant County Superior Court Judge Tyson Hill.

Commissioners also elected officers for 2023; Cox was chosen as board president. Commissioner Tom Flint will be the vice president and Pyle will serve as board secretary.
