COLUMBIA BASIN — It’s state championship time here in the Basin, with both the 2023 Mat Classic and boys state swim and dive being hosted on the west side. Along with state meets, some local basketball teams remain alive in their respective district brackets. Thursday, Feb. 16
MLCA/CCS girls basketball vs Waterville-Mansfield - district title game at 6:30 p.m. at Wenatchee High School.

WIAA Mat Classic XXXIV - begins at 10 a.m. at the Tacoma Dome, includes ACH, Ephrata, Lind-Ritzville, Moses Lake, Othello, Quincy, Royal, Wahluke and Warden.
Saturday, Feb. 18
Lind-Ritzville boys basketball vs Okanogan - 2 p.m. at West Valley (Spokane) High School.
