Silbia Lopez

| December 28, 2023 1:24 PM

Silbia Lopez was born in Crystal City, Texas on Feb. 22, 1955, to proud parents Jesus and Teodora Lopez. On Dec. 24, 2023, Silbia was called home. She peacefully passed away with her daughter and loved ones by her side.

She spent the majority of her youth and adult life in Moses Lake, Wash. She grew up as the youngest of six with five older brothers, whom she loved dearly. She always had a very special bond with her mother, Teodora. She cherished the simple moments; driving around town, getting lunch and just being together. Her parents instilled the foundation for her faith which remained unwavering throughout her life.

Silbia was an amazing mother of three children: Roli, Gabe and Andy. People closest to her would describe her as a kind and gentle spirit. Behind the veil of her gentle nature, she was an immensely resilient and determined woman who always put her family first. For many years, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children and herself, but Silbia still found time to enjoy the things she loved.

Silbia’s passions include her love for flowers, traveling, and riding her yellow bike. The flowers she grew reflected who she was as a person; both beautiful and unyielding. She valued visiting her family in Texas, her many vacations to Puerto Vallarta and her peaceful moments at the ocean.

Silbia was often seen as tiny, but when you would see her delivering her packages in that big brown truck, it was evident she was mighty. In 2001, despite the challenges, she had the fortitude to successfully open Sweet Puffs and become a local business owner. Her creativity, hard work and dedication proved to her children they should always follow their dreams.

Silbia’s everlasting love left an impression on all who were fortunate and blessed to know her.

Thank you to all of those who have cared for Silbia over the years, and a special thank you to the caring staff of Garden Oasis Nursing Home in Ephrata, Wash.

She is survived by her daughter Andrea Adame, brothers Jesse Lopez (Lupe), Oscar Lopez (Estella), Pino Lopez (Lupe), Bene Lopez (Goita) and sister-in-law Maria Lopez, grandchildren Anthony Jones, Anthony Homer, Marivel Dunagan (Ryan), Sandra Adame, Julian Adame, Isabella Anthony (Nicholas), Elysia Adame, Andrew Pannullo, Alex Matheson, Gabriel Noah Adame, Elijah Peterson, Tru Adame, Koah Adame, Angel Adame, and her four great-grandchildren Kai, Kenneth, Ava, and Charles, as well as her daughter-in-law Marci Adame and former daughter-in-law Benita Matheson Garay.

She is preceded in death and welcomed into heaven by her parents, her two sons Rolando and Gabriel Adame, her brother Roberto Lopez and her niece Marivel Lopez.
