Corinne Whiting
Hannah Corinne Whiting, known affectionately by her middle name Corinne, was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Spanish Fork, Utah. On Dec. 10, 2023, at the age of 92, she returned to her Heavenly Father, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication.
Corinne, a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served in numerous capacities within the church, including Young Women’s President, Primary President, Relief Society President and Home Making Leader.
Corinne was a woman of many talents and interests. She had an unwavering dedication to her job as a clerk at the United States Post Office, where she served her community with a warm smile and kind heart for over 30 years. In her free time, Corinne was an avid gardener with a green thumb, creating beautiful gardens and growing exquisite roses. She was also a proud collector of stamps, coins, and dolls. Her passion for sewing, quilting, cross stitch, and collecting stamps, coins, and dolls brought joy to her and those around her. Corinne was also a game show enthusiast and enjoyed shopping. Corinne was born and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah. She also spent 31 years farming with her husband and children in Warden, Wash.
Above all, what mattered most to Corinne was her children and posterity, who will remember her as a beacon of strength, love, and faith. She was blessed to be loved by her five children, 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, parents, brother, sister, nieces, nephews and friends.
Corinne is survived by her children Michael (Karen) Whiting, DeAnn (Ronald) K.Delabarre, Todd (Charlyn) Whiting, Jana (Marvin) Finster and Mindy (Tracy) Anderson. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Glenna Jensen. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, Irven & Minnie Jensen, her loving husband, Don Whiting, her brother, Fred Jensen, and sister, NaDine (Mark) Argyle.
Corinne will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her dedication to her loved ones and the joy she brought into the world. We invite you to celebrate her life and cherish her memory with us.
Viewings were held Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660, and Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Spanish Fork, East Meadows LDS Church Building, 1552 East 750 South, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660. The funeral service followed at 11 a.m. at the Latter Day Saints Chapel. Interment will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660.
