Joseph 'Joe' Marc Achurra
Joe Achurra passed away in Moses Lake on November 18. He leaves behind a family that will miss him greatly and appreciate all of the wonderful memories they had with him.
Joseph “Joe” Marc Achurra, 43, of Moses Lake, Wash., passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023. He was born in 1980 in Edmonds, Wash.
Joe was a sensationally avid reader, a man of few words and a lifelong learner, earning an associate's degree in business and the title of Outstanding Student in Business & Economics from Big Bend Community College. Throughout his career, Joe worked as an accountant for several renowned companies.
He is survived by his grandmother, Shirley Achurra, parents Matthew Achurra (Julie) and Pamela Curry, siblings Michael Achurra, Carissa Dunphy, Adam Achurra and Kaitlin Achurra, their spouses, many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Benji.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Balbino Achurra, grandparents, Wayne and Opal Allen and stepfather, Shawn Curry.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. with service at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Kayser's Chapel of Memories, 831 S. Pioneer Way, Moses Lake. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association.
