Quincy superintendent welcomes students back

Dear Quincy School District families, 

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!

I hope you had a wonderful summer break. 

As we transition into the new school year, whether you're continuing your journey as a Quincy Jackrabbit or joining our school community for the first time, I am delighted to have you as part of our Quincy School District family.  

At QSD, the mission within our Strategic Plan is clear: "Together, we create a culture of belonging that empowers every student to achieve academic excellence and graduate

prepared for a successful future as an engaged and productive citizen."

This mission is the foundation of everything we do. It serves as our compass, guiding our educational programs and influencing our everyday decisions.  

This year, we will continue to build on our mission to ensure a culture of safety and belonging and reinforce our collective belief that QSD students can do and be anything.

The heart of this work is for every student to feel culturally accepted, safe, seen, and heard and equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for success well beyond high school.  

We are so happy to have you as part of our QSD family, and we look forward to a successful and inspiring year ahead. It was great to see all our students back Wednesday, Aug. 30!
