Ray E. Richardson

Ray E. Richardson, 70, of Moses Lake, Wash., passed away Aug. 14, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Ray was born to Bobbie E. Richardson and Shirley M. Reddell on July 20, 1953, in Wichita County, Texas. Ray moved to Washington with his family in 1983. Ray’s favorite pastimes were fishing, hanging out with his dog, Baby Doll, playing cribbage, drinking Coca-Cola while eating sweet treats and watching his dog play in the yard while it was snowing. Ray enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whenever time would allow. Ray also liked having long talks with Katrina while traveling for his treatment.

Ray is survived by his three children: son Robert (Bob) Richardson of Moses Lake, and daughters Katrina Balderas (husband Jonifer) of Moses Lake and Rebekah Kehn of Ephrata, Wash.; several grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; stepmother Carol Hayes (momma Carol) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers Ron Richardson of Colorado Springs and Robert Richardson (wife Susie) of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters Sheila Wolff (husband David) of Clovis, Calif., Sharlene (Shelly) Burnett (husband Leroy) of Fresno, Calif., Tammy Sharpe of Perrin, Texas, Katrena Trevino McLean (husband Kirk) of Fort Worth and Stephanie Richardson of Fort Worth.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie and Shirley, and his brother, Dwight (Randy) Richardson.

Ray will be laid in his final resting place at Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park in Azle, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 5, 2023.
