Big Bend offering classes for adults at Warden High School in September
MOSES LAKE – Big Bend Community College Basic Education for Adults night classes will be returning to Warden High School Sept. 18, according to a Thursday press release from the college. Classes include high school completion, GED preparation and English language acquisition courses.
“The Basic Education program is focused on meeting the needs of our local population,” said BEdA Director Jody Bortz. “We focus on helping students prepare for college and careers within Grant and Adams Counties. By bringing classes back to Warden, we are meeting student and employer demand.”
Through BEdA classes, students can prepare for the GED test, complete their high school diploma, advance their English language skills and receive advising and educational planning help to identify their next steps, according to the release. BEdA students can also co-enroll in college-level classes while completing their high school diploma.
The release stated that classes are offered quarterly with open registration, allowing students to start throughout the year. BEdA courses cost $25 per quarter.
Those interested in registering for a course can call the BEdA office at 509-793-2304 or sign up in person the first night of classes.
