Shooting at mini-mart leaves teen in hospital
MOSES LAKE — Two men were jailed and a third hospitalized following a shooting at a Moses Lake convenience store early Monday morning.
Caleb Rossell, 21, and Dakota Perry, 19, were arrested at a residence in the 500 block of South Division Street and booked into Grant County Jail, according to a statement from the Moses Lake Police Department.
At about 1:30 a.m., Moses Lake Police officers were dispatched to a business in the 600 block of North Stratford Road, according to the statement. Officers found evidence of the shooting at the store and discovered the 19-year-old male victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and had been driven to the hospital by a friend.
Officers reviewed the video from the store and were able to identify the suspect vehicle as well as the driver, according to the statement. Officers and detectives tracked the vehicle to the residence, where they arrested Rossell and Perry. The vehicle was impounded for a search warrant and a search warrant was served on the residence as well. Officers located a .38 caliber revolver and a 9mm handgun.
The victim was in stable condition at an out-of-area hospital as of Monday morning, the statement said.
