Nominations open Sept. 1 for Education Service District board position

WENATCHEE — Nominations will be accepted from Sept. 1 to 16 for a position on the North Central Education Service District board representing five school districts in Grant County.

The NCESD board member will represent District 4, which includes the Ephrata, Quincy, Wilson Creek, Warden and Soap Lake school districts.

Qualifying candidates must be US citizens, registered voters and live within the boundaries of one of the five school districts. Applicants can’t be school employees or school board members from any of the districts they would represent. Applicants also can’t be on the Washington State Board of Education.

People who want to apply for the seat can find information and the application at the Washington State School Directors website, www.wssda.org. Filing and the election process will be online through the WSSDA.
