February 11, 1965 – July 28, 2023

Robert Hamilton Hughes III (Bobby) was born on Feb.11, 1965, and passed away on July 28, 2023. Although he was born in Seattle, Washington, he moved from there when he was only 15 months old and did live out of state as a preschooler. First he moved to Austin, Texas, then Corpus Christi and then San Angelo before moving to St Joseph, Missouri where he started kindergarten. He moved again to Adrian, Michigan where he finished his kindergarten school year, before moving to Moses Lake, Washington in 1971. He spent most of his life there until he moved to Spokane to be near his son and his family for the last 10 years of his life.

Bobby was an open-hearted person. Anyone and everyone was welcome in his home with love and acceptance of who they were. He had a special place in his heart for animals and nearly always had a pet of some kind. He loved children, especially those that were his relatives: his son, stepsons, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, et cetera. In general, he loved all his friends and family wholeheartedly, leaving us all with good and warm memories to cherish for many years to come.

He is survived by his son Rob IV, his wife Crystal and their three children; his stepsons Stewart (Katie) and Darrell and their seven children; his brother Nathan (Gina), niece Faith and nephews Nathan Jr., Robert John and Mathew; his Aunts Jo (George), and Sally; his Uncle Don (Cheryl) and many cousins; and his mother Carol Hughes.

Bobby was predeceased by his father Robert Hughes Jr., both sets of grandparents and his cousin Mark.

There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Aug. 19 at the New Life Apostolic Church, 8960 Broad St., at 11 a.m. 60 Broad St., at 11 a.m.
