Internet outage cause still under investigation
Customers throughout Grant County face issues with connectivity Wednesday. The outage doesn't seem to have impacted all providers in the county and a cause has yet to be determined.

EPHRATA — An internet outage affecting some, but not all, residents in Grant County is under investigation. There was no estimated time of repair as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Christine Pratt, public information officer for the Grant County PUD, said utility district employees are trying to find a cause, but haven’t yet.
“We’re aware of it and we’re trying to fix it,” Pratt said. “(Crews) have been working on it all day.”
Not all service providers are affected, and the outage is not affecting all customers.
Utility district crews don’t know where it originated, or if the answer lies solely within Grant County, she said.
“It seems to be, possibly, beyond our control,” she said.
