Ephrata schools to hold free developmental delay screenings
EPHRATA – The Ephrata School District Special Services Department announced in a Thursday public service announcement that they will be sponsoring a free screening September 6 for children ages three through five whose parents have concerns about their child’s development.
The announcement stated that the screening is intended to identify children who may be significantly delayed in the areas of speech and language, cognitive, motor and social skills. Appointments for parents who are concerned about their child’s development will also be available throughout the school year, free of charge, said the announcement.
According to the announcement, the Ephrata School District Special Services Department serves children and individuals between the ages of zero and 21 with developmental delays who live in the Ephrata School District area.
