September 12, 1969 – July 17, 2023

Glen Lee Bensch, 53, of Ephrata passed away July 17, 2023.

Glen was born in Brewster Sept. 12, 1969, to Jim and Dorothy Bensch. He was the fifth of seven children, born three hours before his twin sister Glenda. As twins, Glen and Glenda shared a special, close relationship.

Glen grew up in Ephrata, but lived most of his adult life in Colorado. He had various jobs in his life like roofing and landscaping, but his favorite was working on oil rigs in Colorado. The happiest time of Glen’s life was while he worked in the oil fields and he was married to Haley. He loved family life with Haley and her two children.

Camping, fishing, hiking and cooking were some of the things Glen enjoyed. He was never afraid of anything and liked to push himself to daring limits from climbing a 50-foot tree as a kid to jumping off cliffs into lakes as an adult. He loved animals, especially his dog Sadie. Listening to music and spending time with family and friends were important to him. Glen loved his mother and was always kind to her. He would often sit on the porch in the evening watching the sun set in the cool of the evening with her.

Glen is survived by his parents Jim and Dorothy Bensch; his sisters Charlene Crawford, Sheila Bensch, Darla Stocker, Glenda Bensch and Laura Bensch; and his brother Roy (Maureen) Bensch, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law David Neilan and his nephew Allen Stocker Jr.

Arrangements are under the care of Nicoles Funeral Home, Ephrata Washington. Please leave your thoughts and memories for the family at www.nicolesfuneralhome.com.
