Elden (ET) Trexler
September 1, 1936 – March 29, 2023
Elden Trexler (ET), 86, left this earthly world on March 29 to the arms of Jesus.
Elden was born Sept.1, 1936, in Mason City, Washington to Irene and Gary Trexler. The family lived on the West Coast before moving to Hartline, Washington. After high school he joined the U.S. Army. On Oct. 4, 1958, he married his love Judy Ramm; they would have celebrated their 65th this October.
Elden worked for the U and I Sugar Plant until they closed. He went on to work for Darigold and retired from Basic American. Elden always kept busy, never sitting still for long. He was a jack of all trades. He was very talented and figured out how to build and repair most anything; one was building on a nice addition to the family home. He would help anyone in need. He coached boys baseball and girls softball. He enjoyed meeting with the UMC men’s breakfast group, loved being outdoors and looked forward to hunting season with his son Larry and good buddies at elk camp, as well as deer hunting in Colville with cousins. He loved seeing family and friends and treated everyone with such kindness and respect. He was the best greeter, making you feel wanted and loved.
He is survived by his wife Judy; children Mike (Maria) Trexler of Livorno, Italy, Rhonda (Larry Baker, deceased) of Spokane, Debbie (Chuck Slocum) of Silverdale and Larry Trexler of Arlington, Washington; sister Donna Thomas; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elden was preceded in death by his infant son Rodney, his parents Irene and Gary and his brothers Melvin and Gordon.
One of his favorite comments was, “Every day is a good day, some days are better!”
