Victoria Haddican

Victoria Grace Haddican, 86, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on April 11, 2023.

Victoria was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Victor and Grace Swanson. Victoria graduated from Tower City High School. She then attended Bemidji State University and earned her degree in elementary education.

Victoria was a beloved teacher for 35 years. The majority of her teaching career was as a teacher for the Moses Lake School District. She influenced many with her love for teaching. Victoria made lifelong friends with those she taught alongside and treasured those friendships.

Victoria met the love of her life Patrick Haddican and they were married for 65 years. Victoria and Pat went on to have five children: Lita Haddican of Kettle Falls, Kellie (Glenn Burdick) of Spokane, Patrick (deceased) and wife Naty of Moses Lake, Kara (Vance Wing) of Richland and Jody (Michele) Haddican of Moses Lake. Victoria and Pat have 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Victoria retired from teaching and spent many years traveling with Pat and making many friends in their traveling adventures. Victoria loved playing the piano, painting and knitting, and she especially loved spending time with her family and close friends.

Victoria was preceded in death by her son Patrick, her parents and two brothers Donald Swanson and Kenneth Swanson.

Victoria is survived by her sister Carol Grindberg, brother Gordon Swanson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held May 6, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1020 S. A St, Moses Lake. Washington at 11 a.m.
