December 13, 1942 – April 6, 2023

Carol Anne Mansfield, 80, surrounded by her family, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

Carol A Mansfield was born on Dec. 13, 1942, in Wray, Colorado to parents Robert L. and Ruth M. Jones. She lived with her family in Wray, Colorado until the age of 2 when they moved to Bremerton, Washington. She attended school in Bremerton and graduated from West Bremerton High School in 1961.

After graduating from Peterson Business School in 1963, Carol worked for Boeing until 1967. She worked at McChord Air Force Base as a data entry specialist from 1967 to 1975, when she moved with her daughter, Kim, to Moses Lake, Washington and began working at U and I Sugar.

It was in Moses Lake that Carol met the love of her life, Daniel E. Mansfield. After a short courtship, they were married on Nov. 28, 1975, becoming an instant family. She continued working at U and I Sugar until the family was blessed with a son, Steven. At that time, Carol opened a daycare which allowed her to stay at home. A couple of years later the family welcomed a baby girl, Kristin. She continued caring for children in the daycare until Steven and Kristin began attending elementary school. Carol enjoyed working with children and looked forward to making a positive impact on their lives. She began working with children in the Moses Lake School District until her retirement in 2007.

After retiring Carol spent time with her loving husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are all precious to her. Carol loved spending time with her family and friends whether it was at church, camping, going on picnics or traveling to the ocean. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading books and playing card games as well. Carol created many memories with her family and friends.

Carol grew up attending church with her parents and siblings in Bremerton. She continued attending church where she helped with the children’s and youth programs, youth camps, church yard sales and fundraisers. She looked forward to attending Moses Lake First Church of the Nazarene every Sunday with her family. This deep-rooted faith and trust in God helped Carol through many ups and downs during her life. It was important to Carol that her family and friends knew about the love of Jesus. Whether she was telling Bible stories, singing songs or listening to the Gaithers, her love for the Lord shone through.

Carol is survived by her children Kimberly Adcock (Silas) of Nampa, Idaho, Steven Mansfield (Julee) of Moses Lake and Kristin Krueger (Andy) of Moses Lake; her grandchildren Deborah Adcock, Joseph Adcock, Isaiah Adcock (Jessie), Rochelle Gulling (Aaron), Steven Speed (Erika), Emily Speed (Nicole), ShyAnne Speed (Derick), Jorden Krueger (Abby), Andrew Mansfield (Alexis), Amber Mansfield, Adam Mansfield, Anthony Mansfield, Angela Mansfield, Elizabeth Robertson, Amanda Mansfield and Abigail Mansfield; her great-grandchildren Opal Adcock, Logen Speed, Lacie Speed, Oliver Close, Aylson Close and Remington Gulling; her sisters Marge Gaines (Gary), Mary Dionne (AJ) and Betty Judd (Gary); her brother Kenneth Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
