Two killed in accident west of Ephrata
EPHRATA — An accident Saturday morning west of Ephrata left two people dead and resulted in the closure of Sagebrush Flats Road, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.
According to GCSO spokesperson Kyle Foreman, emergency vehicles responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Sagebrush Flat Road and Johnson Road just before 11 a.m. Saturday. Six individuals were in the two vehicles, Foreman said, and two were pronounced dead at the scene.
“The other four were transported to local and regional hospitals,” he said.
While Foreman had no other details on the accident, he did say a Grant County Public Utility District power line was down and that Sagebrush Flat Road would be closed for at least several hours on Saturday.
