Moses Lake cleanup set for Saturday
MOSES LAKE — The city of Moses Lake and the Downtown Moses Lake Association is looking for volunteers Saturday to help clean up downtown.
Downtown Clean-up Day begins at 10 a.m. and goes through 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, according to an announcement from the DMLA. Volunteers showing up at the Desert Plaza Building at 124 E. Third Ave will be given a pair of gloves and a trash bag and asked to help clean up the alleys behind the city’s downtown businesses, according to the announcement.

The city is also hosting the first of two annual spring clean days on Saturday in the Surf n’ Slide Water park at 401 E. Fourth Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to an announcement from the city of Moses Lake.
The city will not accept old tires, rims, construction debris, large appliances, paints, solvents, household hazardous waste, commercial waste and yard waste. Residents must show ID to verify their address and are limited to three cubic yards of material per household, according to the announcement. For more information, contact 509-764-3701.
