Copenhaver to take helm at RMS
ROYAL CITY — Jerred Copenhaver will be the new principal at Royal Middle School, according to a statement from the Royal School District.
Copenhaver is currently a fifth-grade teacher at Royal Intermediate School, according to the statement. Before coming to the Royal School District in 2014, he served as a juvenile probation counselor in Kittitas County. He replaces outgoing principal David Jaderlund, who is retiring at the end of the year.
"I am extremely grateful to continue my career with the Royal School District,” Copenhaver wrote in the statement. “The work that the middle school staff has been putting in to make sure that students receive a high level of education is extremely impressive. I am very excited to join their team."
