Border crossing hours to change
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The hours of operation at four U.S.-Canadian border crossings, including one in eastern Washington and one in Montana, will be updated next week, according to a statement from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
As of April 15, the Laurier, Washington port of entry on U.S. Highway 395 will extend its hours from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. to 8 a.m.-10 p.m. seven days a week, according to the statement. The Del Bonita, Montana POE, will resume operations on weekends and will open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
For several years, CBP has documented a reduction in privately-owned vehicle and pedestrian traffic at some POEs along its northern border, the statement said, and the change reflects those numbers.
