Pyper, Ehrman take new roles at Grant PUD

EPHRATA — Two longtime Grant County PUD employees have been promoted to new jobs.

Julie Pyper has been hired as chief administrative officer and Ty Ehrman takes over the job of chief customer officer.

Pyper’s position is new, according to a PUD press release. She will be overseeing the PUD’s employee experience and safety departments, as well as continuing to be in charge of some internal services and contract work, among others. She took over the new job in December 2022.

She has been working for the PUD since 2009.

Ehrman replaces Dave Churchman, who was transferred to a position in the PUD wholesale power marketing department.

The chief customer officer works directly with customers and industry partners, the press release said. Ehrman also will be working with the wholesale marketing and rates and pricing departments.

Ehrman started in his new job March 31 and has worked for the PUD since 2010.
