Wildcats travel to New Mexico

PORTALES, N.M. — Coming off of a bye week, the Central Washington University football team travels to Eastern New Mexico University for a battle against the Greyhounds on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Wildcats enter the matchup with a 2-1, 2-0 record. Their last action came on the road at Simon Fraser on Sept. 17 as the team captured a 40-7 win. CWU is averaging 28 points per game while holding opposing offenses to under 19 points per game.

Quincy Glasper continues to lead the team through the air with 34 completions for 556 yards and three touchdowns through three games played. On the ground, Tre'Jon Henderson leads CWU rushers with 56 attempts for 312 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Darius Morrison continues to lead Wildcat receivers with10 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns.

Leading the team in tackles is Daeon Hudson with 32 total tackles along with 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. Brett Accimus is second in tackles with 26 along with two tackles for loss and one sack. The defense is holding opposing offenses to a 33.33% conversion percentage on third downs.

The Greyhounds (1-3, 0-2) are looking to bounce back from a 10-43 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville. Saturday's game is ENMU's Homecoming game.

The Greyhounds are averaging only 16 points and 281 yards of offense each game. Quarterback Kason Martin has 60 completions on 110 attempts for four touchdowns and three interceptions. Isaiah Tate leads all Greyhound rushers with 58 for 199 yards, an average of 3.4 yards per carry, and two touchdowns. Receiver Asa Wondeh has 16 catches for 395 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Wondeh is averaging just shy of 100 yards receiving per game.

The ENMU defense is allowing over 32 points and 435 yards to opposing offenses. Zerrian Meander leads the Greyhound defense in tackles (34) and has two fumble recoveries on the year. Beau Burns and Kevin McCracken lead the team in sacks (1.5).
