| September 9, 2022 11:36 AM

February 14, 1952 –September 7, 2022

Mary Crowder was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She gained her angel wings and was taken into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sept. 7 at age 70 surrounded by her family.

She was born to Luis and Maria Sauceda on Feb. 14, 1952. At the age of 15 she met the love of her life, Johnny Crowder, and two years later they were married and built their loving home in Othello for the last 50 years. Together they had three children: Johnny Lee, Kristee and Shelly.

Mary’s singular mission was enriching her family with a sense of love, unity and joy.  She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals. She could also often be found outside gardening and tending her beautiful flowers or inside on a QVC shopping spree or Hallmark movie marathon. Mary was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Mary was a vibrant and loving woman who made sure others felt loved and cared for. She was never far from her phone and enjoyed chatting with her siblings or many loved ones.

She is survived by her adoring husband Johnny, her daughters Kristee and Shelly and her precious grandson Johnny Elias, as well as an expansive extended family.

She will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have known her. In heaven she is reunited with her parents and her loving son, Johnny Lee.

Mary’s life and legacy of love will be celebrated with a viewing and Rosary scheduled for Wednesday Sept. 14, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello from 1 to 5 p.m. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Othello on Thursday, Sept.15, 2022, with Mass being held at 11 a.m.
