John Manuel Cardona

| September 7, 2022 12:10 PM

John Manuel Cardona was called home in the early morning of Sept. 6, 2022, surrounded by his children after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.

John was born in Denver, Colorado on Sept. 20, 1958, to Manuel and Martina Cardona and raised in Moses Lake, Washington.

John was a well respected man, known by many and loved by all. Those who knew John knew of his kindness, generosity, and selflessness. John was a devoted father, Wello, son, brother, uncle, and friend. John took great pride in the ranch he built and would spend countless hours working on it. He made it a priority to spend time with family and enjoyed hosting all of the get-togethers at his ranch. He went on annual camping trips to Packwood with his children and grandchildren. John was a great storyteller, especially around the fire, and he never failed to enjoy the present moment with those closest to him.

John is proceeded in death by his wife Cindy Cardona and his father Manuel Cardona.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: son Anthony (Joann) – Latasha, Anthony, Xavier and Zayden; son Juan (Tara) – Makayla, Mason; daughter Elsa – Drake, Penelope, Rallie and Crispin Jr.; granddaughter Chynna – Catalina, Grayson and Kayden; daughter Melissa – Kristopher, Sarina and daughter Rachel – Stephanie and Isiah.

1 Corinthians 15:50-57: “But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever.”

Luke 23:43: “And He said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.’”

Services will be held for John Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Road, with Rosary starting at 10 a.m., followed by Mass and a burial at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. We ask that close family and friends join us at the ranch afterwards for a reception.
