‘Young and talented’

COULEE CITY - The Almira/Coulee-Hartline volleyball team is young but ready for what the season ahead will bring.
“Our volleyball team is very young and talented,” said Athletic Director Brandon Walsh. “They had a productive off-season and they're really looking forward to this fall.”
The team went 10-7 last season and their most recent state appearance was in the 2019-2020 season where they took third place.
From the 2021-22 season to this year they lost four seniors. Their varsity roster of eight this season only has two seniors.
Despite being on the young side, Walsh is confident the team will do well.
“They play in one of the more competitive 1B leagues in the state so they will have their work cut out for them, but I'm confident that they're going to have a very good year,” said Walsh.
Their next matchup will be at home against Reardan on Sept. 8.
